Every parent knows the real battle of a trip is not reaching your family vacation destination, but getting there with minimal “Are we there yet’s”, tantrums and tears. This will help prevent spills and leave you with minimal reaches into the backseat to fix the straws in juice boxes. Have some extra cash at hand for dine in restaurants. When the kids are getting restless, promise them a restaurant in ten to twenty exits. Let them count down the exits. This will keep their minds busy until you get there and help you get in a few extra miles before stopping. Games, Activities and More Be sure to take along plenty of activities for the kids. If you want to invest in a portable DVD player for the car, you can usually get a good deal at places such as Target and Wal-Mart. They run much cheaper than those you might find at your dealership. Make the trip to your family vacation destination relaxed and easy. Take along disposable cameras and let your little ones take snapshots of their favorite stops along the way. With just a little imagination, you can make the journey just as great as the destination, filled with happy memories that will last all life through.
